Around the world we aim to reduce our energy use and greenhouse gas emissions to protect future generations from the impacts of climate change.
While our internal operations have a modest carbon footprint, we are taking important steps to evolve our workspaces to reduce climate change impacts. In our hometown of New York City, our corporate offices were consolidated according to the LEED® green building certification program. The offices are LEED certified to the Platinum level, the highest level possible, recognizing our efforts to reduce energy use and other environmental impacts.
In our manufacturing and distribution facilities, we are implementing a variety of energy-saving programs, including the use of solar arrays. We have also been a responding company to the CDP Climate Change Request since 2006, and are working to continuously reduce our carbon footprint. Following the successful completion of our 2006–2011 U.S. emissions reduction goal, we committed to reduce our total global greenhouse gas emissions by 15% from 2013 to 2020, with an emphasis on Tiffany & Co. retail locations.
