CEO statement
Collaborative Efforts

Although Tiffany is one of the world's most
renowned jewelers, we alone cannot significantly
influence the mining industry. To that end we
have collaborated with other forward-looking
leaders of the jewelry industry and with
nongovernmental organizations.

Sources and Mining Practices

We recognize the challenge and complexity of
obtaining precious materials that have been
mined, processed and crafted into finished jewelry
in ways that are environmentally and socially
responsible. Our goal is to know the origins and
mining practices of all the materials we use
in our designs.

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation

Since its inception in 1837, Tiffany & Co. has been guided by
the belief that a successful company has a responsibility to the
greater community. Through The Tiffany & Co. Foundation,
the company broadens the scope of its corporate giving efforts
with grants to nonprofit organizations dedicated to the education
and preservation of the arts and environmental conservation.

Conservation & Reform Activism

Tiffany & Co. publicly—and actively—
opposes inappropriate mine development
and human rights violations, while upholding
conservation principles in environments
for which sustainability is a concern.

Tiffany's Higher Standards

Tiffany's passion for "sustainable style" extends beyond the
precious gemstones and metals that grace our creations. It
is a way of doing business that finds expression in a range of
initiatives—from the standards we set for our business
partners, to the paper we use, to our
energy conservation efforts.
