Our Environmental And Social Commitments

"Tiffany & Co. is committed to obtaining precious metals and gemstones and crafting our jewelry in ways that are socially and environmentally responsible. It is simply the right thing to do: Our customers expect and deserve nothing less."
— Michael J. Kowalski, Chairman & CEO, Tiffany & Co.

CEO statement
Conservation & Reform

Tiffany & Co. publicly—and actively—opposes inappropriate mine
development and human rights violations. At the same time, we uphold
conservation principles in environments for which sustainability is
a concern.

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation

Through the Tiffany & Co. Foundation
we focus the company’s philanthropic
efforts by providing grants to nonprofit
organizations dedicated to environmental
and cultural preservation, coral
conservation, responsible mining and
design and the decorative arts.

Tiffany's Higher Standards

Tiffany’s passion for "sustainable style" extends
beyond the precious gemstones and metals that comprise
our creations. This way of doing business finds
expression in a range of initiatives—from the standards
we set for our business partners, to the paper we use,
to our energy conservation efforts.

Collaborative Efforts

Tiffany has collaborated with other forward-
looking leaders in the jewelry industry and
with nongovernmental organizations in order
to maximize our influence throughout the
supply chain.

Sources and Mining Practices

Tiffany has long recognized the challenge and
complexity of obtaining precious materials that
have been mined, processed and crafted into
finished jewelry in ways that are environmentally
and socially responsible. It is our goal to have a
clear understanding of the origins of all the
materials contained in our creations so we can
best meet that challenge.
