Ocean Conservation Meets Purposeful Partnership

With an unwavering commitment to protecting our planet, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation continues to focus its philanthropic efforts on aspiring to create meaningful, long-term impact in ocean conservation. In that spirit, The Foundation is proud to announce its inaugural partnership with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO through Delivering a Healthy Ocean—a joint initiative designed to help accelerate global action for the conservation and sustainable use of the world’s oceans.

Turning Science into Action

This landmark collaboration marks The Foundation’s first partnership with UNESCO-IOC and reflects a shared vision to support the transformation of scientific knowledge into actionable solutions for thriving, resilient oceans. Through this partnership, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation and UNESCO-IOC will support global communities in the development of a Sustainable Ocean Planning and Management (SOPM) framework intended to advance best practices in sustainable biodiversity protection and climate mitigation.

A Milestone in Global Biodiversity Stewardship

Foundation and UNESCO-IOC collaboration represents the first major milestone within the renewed UNESCO and LVMH Group partnership supporting biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Alongside LVMH, Tiffany & Co. continues to invest in nature-based solutions that strive to safeguard the planet for generations to come, leading with purpose, inventiveness and a deep reverence for the natural world.
