The Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award
This summer, we announced our Jewelry Designer Award in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Celebrating Tiffany Atrium’s commitment to diversity and driving inclusivity in the design industry, the award is a first-of-its-kind opportunity for American jewelry designers to learn from one of the world’s most celebrated houses renowned for its legacy of inventive artistry. Part of Tiffany’s and the CFDA’s respective social impact platforms, Tiffany Atrium and CFDA Impact, this award reflects both institutions’ shared ideals of inventiveness and commitment to excellence within the world of design.
A Celebration of Creativity
We kicked off the program in October 2024 with an intimate breakfast at the House’s iconic Fifth Avenue store, The Landmark. The 10 participants were briefed on the design challenge to create a five-piece capsule collection that pays tribute to the House’s rich heritage while reflecting contemporary design principles. This challenge was evaluated by the Selection Committee, including Tiffany & Co.’s Chief Artistic Officer, Nathalie Verdeille, as well as other notable industry figures, such as Gabrielle Union, Frank Everette and Jason Wu. From October 2024 through January 2025, the 10 participants engaged in monthly mentoring sessions with the Tiffany & Co. design team, who provided feedback on participants’ work and supported their journey.
Congratulations, Jameel Mohammed
We are proud to announce Jameel Mohammed is the first-ever recipient of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award, granting him a 12-month paid fellowship on the Tiffany & Co. design team and USD $50,000. In celebration of this special occasion, we hosted an exclusive award showcase at The Landmark to spotlight the incredible talents of all the designers. Through Tiffany Atrium, we remain steadfast in our mission to dismantle barriers and create lasting impact through initiatives that inspire collective action. We are excited to celebrate this inaugural program and look forward to continuing our efforts to support and empower the next generation of jewelry designers.
