Football Trophies Designed by Tiffany

Our relationship with football began in 1959 when the MacArthur Bowl was donated to the National Football Foundation by an anonymous donor in the name of the General of the Army, Douglas MacArthur. The Bowl was designed by Tiffany & Co. from the suggestions made by General MacArthur himself. It is presented annually by the National Football Foundation to intercollegiate football’s national champion.
The Vince Lombardi Trophy®

The Vince Lombardi Trophy®

We have made the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy®, presented annually to the NFL® Super Bowl® championship team, since the first Super Bowl® in 1967. Oscar Riedener, a former Tiffany & Co. Vice President, sketched the basic design for the trophy on a napkin during a 1966 meeting with then-NFL® Commissioner Pete Rozelle, and the rest was history. A mark of the pinnacle of gridiron glory, the trophy stands at 22 inches, weighs 8.75 pounds and features a regulation-size football in kicking position.

The AFC® & NFC® Championship Trophies

The Lamar Hunt and George S. Halas Trophies, presented annually by the NFL® to the winning teams of the American Football Conference® (AFC®) and the National Football Conference®, were first designed by Tiffany & Co. in 2010 and have been handcrafted by the House ever since. Each trophy requires approximately five months of labor.
